Trainee from Afghanistan visits Okayama
A surgeon from AMDA Afghanistan arrived in Japan in late August of 2012. His visit was made possible through Okayama Prefectural Government's subsidy for International Contribution "Local to Local", to transfer the acquired skill in Japan to, in his case, medical field in Afghanistan.
For the first month, the Afghan surgeon received his Japanese language training course at Okayama International Center. His two-month medical training at Okayama Saiseikai General Hospital since late September is to finish next week.
Despite the cultural and ethnical background differences, he has enjoyed living and receiving training in Japan. We hope his experiences here will help him flourish even more in the future.
