The delegates arrived in Japan on 12nd November 2011, and reached Okayama in the evening of 15th November 2011 after visiting Tokushima and other places. In the award ceremony, Mr. Koike, the director of AMDA volunteer center was given a letter as well as Origami Cranes as a prayer for Tohoku, the devastated areas by the recent Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

You have expanded your active contribution in the disaster stricken areas such as Tibetan regions of Sichuan in case of snow disaster with Mr. Sasayama, who have put efforts in international friendship activities. Especially, for the Wenchuan earthquake occurred on 12nd May, you were quick to dispatch emergency relief team to Beichuan in coordination with Taiwan chapter. Moreover you conducted medical outreach in the affected areas with West China Hospital, and donated medicines and various laboratory equipment. We acknowledge your outstanding contribution for emergency relief activities and rehabilitation support in our province.

We, the people of Sichuan take special notes of AMDA that in cases of immense damage brought out by natural disaster, AMDA shares the hardship with us, and act on the philosophy of mutual help and humanitarianism.

As representative of the committee in charge under Sichuan Province of People's Congress, we renew our truest gratitude to AMDA upon the completion of rehabilitation project in the affected areas of Sichuan earthquake. We extend our gratitude to our old friend Mr. Sasayama. In addition, we show our respect to Dr. Suganami, President of AMDA and his people for their speedy emergency relief activity in the devastated areas of Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. We pray for the quick recovery of people's living in the affected areas.
